After being fed and watered in the Polar Bear, we trudged further into Leicester centre towards our next stop, Tesco Express on Welford Place.

We thought that this stop would be one of the most boring spots our pins could have chosen but we found our walk there turned out to not be.

As we arrived at our destination a huge gust of wind blew our map out of Michal’s hand, therefore we found ourselves in a frantic run down the road to catch it. Nobody else even helped us! Finally we caught up with our map a few hundred yards down, battered, wet and muddy.

It was here we realised presentation was not Tesco’s strong point. ‘Tesc’?

Whilst visiting this point we also noticed a statue. Although we have passed here many times neither of us have actually taken in the history or architecture. After researching we find out that this statue was of John Biggs, a previous mayor of Leicester.
